Operation Dhenu: Reasi police tighten noose on bovine smugglers

Continuing special drive against the bovine smuggler under 𝗢𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 -𝗗𝗛𝗘𝗡𝗨 Reasi police foiled bovine smuggling at Moori Check Post. During checking at Moori, rescued 16 bovines animal from a truck bearing Registration No. JK02DD1889 at Moori Check Post which hit the barricade and tried to run away from spot and was stopped by police party while the driver managed to fled away from the spot taking advantage of darkness. The search of the accused person is initiated.

On this, Case FIR No 60/2024 U/S 188 IPC, 11 1(a) PC Act, 2/3 PDP Act stands registered at P/S Katra, vehicle seized and investigation initiated to unearth the forward and backward linkages. The whole operation is led by IC PP Kakryal and SHO Katra.

𝗠𝘀. 𝗠𝗼𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗮 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗮-𝗜𝗣𝗦 Senior Superintendent of Police Reasi while sharing the details conveyed that Reasi Police is working on multipronged strategy to deal with bovine smuggler and will leave no stone unturned to curb this menace from the society.
