Continuing βπ‘ππ¦ππ π π¨ππ§ π₯πππ¦π πππππ¬πππ‘β in Reasi and in another major strike on drug peddlers District Police Reasi booked and detained one more notorious drug peddler of Reasi under PITNDPS and lodged him in District Jail Reasi. Koshindra Rana @ Gouri son of Charan Singh resident of village Kheri Khush Nam, Tehsil & District Shamli State of Uttar Pradesh A/P Varun Chowk Tehsil Katra District Reasi who is involved in case FIR No. 58/23 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS ACT and case FIR No. 136/23 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act of Police Station Katra was detained under PITNDPS Act under the order No. 56 of 2023 dated 04-11-2023, issued by Divisional Commissioner, Jammu. Besides booking under NDPS Act a number of times he was warned to shun the path of supplying drugs to the youth of Katra & Reasi. However he remained on continuous mission of minting money by supplying banned drug to youth of Reasi and Katra. In view of his continuous involvement in drug peddling and to save the health and welfare of the people it was necessary to book him under stringent law.On the directions of Amit Gupta JKPS Senior Superintendent of Police Reasi his dossiers for PSA were prepared and after getting necessary detention order from Sh. Ramesh Kumar-IAS Divisonal Commissioner Jammu, Koshindra Rana was arrested by the team of Police Station Katra led by Insp. Nishant Gupta and SDPO Katra Sh. Surinder Singh-JKPS under the Supervision of Sh. Vipan Chandran-JKPS SP Katra. He was lodged in District Jail Reasi. SSP Reasi while sharing the details conveyed that Reasi Police is working on multipronged strategy to deal with the problem of drug abuse, on one hand awareness programs are being organized in every nook and corner of the district and on the other hand drug peddlers are being booked under NDPS Act on regular basis, whereas Reasi Police also started Anti Drug Helpline Number 9070907017 for general public where identity of caller will be kept secret. Mr. Amit while giving tough message for drug peddlers added that there is no space for Drug Peddlers in Reasi. Drug peddlers should shun the path of spoiling our generation and must return to mainstream otherwise they will be dealt with Iron hand.
