02 INTER DISTRICT GANGS BUSTED; 5 NOTORIOUS THIEVES ARRESTED; 06 BIKES AND CASH RECOVERED

Samba, October 6: Police has worked out a series of thefts cases including theft from shops located in Main Market Samba and couple of motorbike thefts in the jurisdiction of PP Rakh Amb Talli, PP SIDCO Samba, PP Supwal, arresting five notorious thieves and recovered stolen cash and six motorbikes from their illegal possession.In the first incident of theft, unknown thieves broke open five different shops located at Main Market Samba and decamped with cash during the intervening night of 7/8 July, 2024.In the second incident, few motorcycle theft cases were reported in different areas of Pangdour, Rakh Amb Talli, SIDCO Samba and Nanake Chak under the jurisdiction of Police Station Samba. Acting upon this, various case FIRs viz No.184/2024, FIR No. 251/2024, FIR No. 247/2024, FIR No. 248/2024 and FIR No.249/2024 under relevant sections of law were registered at Police Station Samba and investigation got started. Taking cognizance into the matter, DySP Hqrs Samba immediately constituted different Police teams under SHO PS Samba led by I/C PP Rakh Amb Talli, I/C PP SIDCO and I/C PP Supwal to work out the said theft cases this affecting the arrest of the accused involved.During the course of investigation, Police after hectic efforts along with technical analysis and human intelligence rounded up two suspects in shops theft cases namely Faqir Hussain S/o Liyaqat Ali R/o Chak Drar district kathua A/P SIDCO Phase-1 Samba and Shah Din S/o Isham Din R/o Chak Bagga, lashipura, district Kathua for questioning. During sustained questioning, both the accused confessed their involvement in the theft in said five shops in Samba Bazaar. The said amount was recovered on their disclosure along with the motorbike bearing registration No. JK08P-5839 from the house of Faqir Hussain which they had purchased from the stolen money.It is worthwhile to mention that the accused namely Shah Din has also been involved in theft cases registered against him at Police Station Rajbagh and Police Station Kathua.Similarly, during the investigation of motorbike theft cases, Police rounded up several suspects and finally zeroed one suspect namely Abdul Karim alias Bachu S/o Mohd Sharif R/o Chack Manga Gujran who upon sustained questioning disclosed that he had committed all the thefts along with his associates. After this, Police carried out raids at different locations at Kanachak, Gajansoo area of Jammu and in Samba and arrested two co-accused namely Abu Bilal S/o Mohd Yousaf R/o Burj Tanda Samba and Haneef Ali S/o Mohd Yaqoob R/o Gajansoo tehsil Marh district Jammu.On the disclosure of above said accused, Police teams have recovered five stolen motorcycle from their possession.Further investigation into the cases are going on.
