23 injured and 2 dead due to tree uprooting & damage to buildings in Delhi

23 injured and 2 dead due to tree uprooting & damage to buildings in Delhi I the last night duststorm. According to Delhi police 6 injured & 2 died due to tree uprooting while 17 injured in damage to buildings.

Delhi Police received 152 calls related to tree uprooting, 55 calls related to building damage, and 202 calls related to power disruption.

A change in the weather was also experienced in the National Capital after Delhi and the adjoining areas experienced a duststorm last night. This storm was not limited to Delhi NCR but it also has its sway in J&K, Punjab & adjoining states. Mored details awaited from other areas.

It is pertinent to mention that Indian metrological department already predicted this duststorm & posted on X that Duststorm with rain (followed by rain) and gusty winds with speed of 50-70 Km/h would occur over and adjoining areas of entire Delhi and NCR (Loni Dehat, Hindon AF Station, Ghaziabad, Indirapuram, Chhapraula, Noida, Dadri, Greater Noida, Gurugram, Faridabad, areas of Haryana etc
