4 ACCUSED ARRESTED BY SAMBA POLICE REMANDED TO JUDICIAL CUSTODY & LODGED IN JAIL IN ABETMENT TO SUICIDE CASE OF BODH RAJ OF RAKH, SAMBA
Samba Police Conducting Investigations In Highly Professional Manner : SSP Samba Benam Tosh
Samba, August 28 : Four accused, who were arrested by Samba Police in abetment to suicide case of Bodh Raj of Rakh Amb Talli Samba, have been remanded to ten days judicial custody and have been lodged in District Jail Kathua.
All the four accused were arrested in abetment to suicide case FIR No. 197/2023 u/s 306/109 IPC registered at Police Station Samba through Police Post Rakh Amb Talli.
The arrested accused have been identified as Faqir Chand s/o Lalo Ram r/o Rakh Amb Talli, Surjit Kumar s/o Faqir Chand r/o Rakh Amb Talli, Ashok Kumar s/o Jagdish Raj r/o Rakh Amb Talli and Jameet Roy s/o Lt. Sadhu Ram r/o Meen Sarkar Barjani Bari Brahmana.
On 20.07.2023 an information was received through reliable sources at Police Post Rakh Amb Talli to the effect that one person namely Bodh Raj s/o Lalo Ram age 52 years, who was under treatment at GMC as poison case, expired at GMC Jammu and that his dead body was lying at mortuary room. Upon this information, Police initiated inquest proceedings u/s 174 CrPC to ascertain the actual cause of death and inquest was underway. In the meanwhile, police received directions u/s 156 (3) CrPC from Hon’ble Court of CJM Samba to register FIR and in compliance with the court directions, FIR No. 197/2023 u/s 306/109 IPC was registered at Police Station Samba, four accused were arrested and investigation is being conducted by SI Shabir Ahmed under the supervision of SHO Police Station Samba Rajeshwar Singh, DySP Garu Ram and Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary.
All the four accused have been remanded to judicial custody for ten days by the Hon’ble Munsiff Court Samba and have been lodged in District Jail Kathua.
Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh said that Samba Police is conducting investigations in highly professional manner taking all aspects into consideration and apprehending accused involved in crimes with geared-up pace.
