468 bottles of illegal liqour seized at Udhampur. Police arrests 01 bootleggger
Continuing its action against the social crimes, District Police Udhampur today on 04.12.2024 arrested one bootlegger and recovered huge quantity of illicit liquor from him.
Police team of PS Udhampur led by its SHO while performing routine vehicle checking at Jakhani NHW intercepted one Mahindra Bolero bearing registration number JK14J-7808 for checking purpose. On checking of said vehicle, huge quantity of illicit liquor (468 bottles of 250 ml each) were recovered from the said vehicle and one accused (driver) namely Raj Kumar S/O Paras Ram R/O Nagulta, Tehsil Chenani, Udhampur has been arrested on spot.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 483/2024 u/s 48 (a)Excise Act stands registered in Police Station Udhampur and investigation taken up.
