Samba, February 13: Tightening noose against illegal mining, Samba Police has seized five vehicles in the jurisdiction of Police Station Bari Brahmana and Police Station Samba which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material.
A Police party of Police Station Bari Brahmana headed by SHO PS Bari Brahmana while performing patrolling duty in its jurisdictional area has seized two dumper bearing Nos. JK02CU-7607 and JK21G-7607 for illegal mining in the area.
A Police party of Police Post Supwal headed by Incharge Police Post Supwal along with Mining Department Samba has seized two Tractor Trolleys without registration No. for illegal mining in Basantar river bed, Phulpur Supwal.
A Police party of Police Post Goran headed by Incharge Police Post Goran while performing patrolling duty in its jurisdictional area has seized a tractor trolley bearing regd. No. JK21D-7479 for illegal mining.
The above mentioned vehicles have been seized by Samba Police and handed over to Geology & Mining Department, Samba for further action.
