J&K POLICE ARRESTS NOTORIOUS THIEF: RECOVERS STOLEN BIKE
Samba, April 27: J&K Police has arrested a notorious thief in a theft case registered at Police Station Samba and recovered stolen bike for his possession.
On 20-04-2024, a written report was lodged at Police Station Samba by one Rakesh Kumar S/o Ashok Kumar R/o Jatwal Samba, regarding theft of his motorcycle bearing registration No.JK21G-4039 near Chichi Mata Temple, Samba.
Acting over the complaint, a case FIR No. 107/2024 U/S 379 IPC was registered at PS Samba and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, team of Police Station Samba rounded up one accused namely Rohan Kumar @Gorav S/o Bobby Kumar R/o Teli Basti, Bari Brahmana who upon sustained questioning confessed his involvement in the instant case. Further on his disclosure, stolen bike was recovered from Khad at Telli Basti, Bari Brahmana.Investiagtion of the case is going on.
It pertinent to mention that arrested accused is a notorious thief who was been earlier involved in couple of burglary and theft cases in Samba and Jammu areas. Recoveries were earlier also made from him in case FIR No.213/2023 U/S 379 IPC of Police Station Samba and FIR No. 22/2024 U/S 457/380 IPC of Police station RS Pura.
