“Being a True Journalist isn’t Everyone’s Cup of Tea”: Er. Shubham Kotwal
Congratulates other Journalists for the day with best wishes
Jammu: On the occasion of Press Freedom Day on May 3, Young Journalist Er Shubham Kotwal put a question mark on fulfilling the duty of a True Journalist these days. Since the day is observed annually to raise awareness of the difficulties faced by journalists and the tasks they perform to maintain the smooth flow of information, it serves as a reminder that being a journalist is not an easy job.
Shubham expressed his concern over the misinformation shared these days through the media, rather social or digital; leading people to know lesser facts and jumping to conclusions. Kotwal said,
“The job of Journalists is to clear the clouds of misinformation and show the real facts to the public, which relies on the Media for quick and healthy information. Also, maintaining the Ethical Standards of Journalism with proper Fact-checking and objectivity are the real challenges of a Journalist, which isn’t an easy job and not Everyone’s Cup of Tea.”
Congratulating the other Journalists, Er. Shubham Kotwal raised a toast for them being objective and being responsible towards the public and unveiling the truth behind. Also, he urged the reporters to follow “Yellow Journalism” in lesser amounts so that people get to know the real information and real facts.
