03 InterState drug peddlers arrested Jammu District; 512 grams heroin(Chitta) recovered: Jammu & Kashmir Police
Jammu,05.05.2024 Continuing its drive to eradicate the drug menace from the society, Jammu and Kashmir Police under operation SANJEEVENI arrested 03 interstate drug peddlers and recovered narcotic substance from their possession.
On 04.05.2024 ,an information was received through reliable sources at Police Station that three persons namely :
- Pawan Kumar S/O Vinod Kumar R/O Deva ji Colony Mukerian Punjab
- Abhishek Kumar S/O Askok Kumar R/O Chota Bagho Wal Mukerian Punjab
- Divya Arora D/O Ashok Kumar R/O Bagho Wal Gall Mukerian with criminal intention were carrying Heroin (chitta) like substance with them and were going through circular road view point Jammu on their vehicle Ford Figo (black colour) bearing registration no. CH01AD-2782 with the motive of selling it to local youths of Jammu.
On receiving this information, a case FIR No. 48/2024 U/S 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act was registered in Police Station Pacca Danga, Jammu and investigation taken up.
A team led by SHO Pacca Danga under the close Supervision of SDPO City and guidance of SP City started the checking of vehicles.During the checking, a vehicle bearing registration no.CH01AD 2782 was seized and all the three accused were arrested.
During their physical search, 512-grams of Heroine (chitta) like substance was recovered from their possession. Further investigation of the case is going on in order to unearth interstate Smuggling nexus.
Jammu police is working intensively to uproot the chain of drug supply in the region and thorough questioning of the accused is going on to know the origin of the drugs supply chain.
