Jammu and Kashmir Police achieved a major breakthrough today after a well-planned operation conducted by a team from Miran Sahib Police Station led to the arrest of wanted criminal Gulzar Ahmad alias Lahu Gujjar.
Officials said that the accused was a notorious history-sheeter and had been evading arrest for a long time. He was wanted in several serious criminal cases, including attempt to murder, rioting, criminal intimidation, kidnapping, assault on police personnel, and activities related to narcotic drugs.
According to the police, he was also linked to incidents of attacks on police teams in areas including Bishnah, Miran Sahib, and Bari Brahmana. He had earlier managed to escape during police raids with the help of his associates.
Officials further stated that acting on specific information, a team from Miran Sahib Police Station arrested him today under the leadership of SHO Inspector Jatinder Singh.
