ALERT: J&K Police Issues Alert Over Jaish Propaganda Video
July 22, 2024: The Jammu & Kashmir Police have issued a high-priority alert regarding a propaganda video released by the militant group Jaish-e-Mohammed. The video, which is 5 minutes and 55 seconds long, features a poster from the Bollywood movie *Phantom* and includes a photo of actor Saif Ali Khan. The video was reportedly released by the enemy around 2 PM today.The police have urged the general public to adhere to the following guidelines:
1. **Do Not Forward the Video:**
The public is strictly prohibited from forwarding the video in any manner.
2. **Report Receipt of the Video:**
Individuals who receive the video are instructed to report it via a message, providing details such as the telephone number from which they received the video and the date and time of receipt.
3. **Police and Civil Officer Protocol:**
Police officers must report the receipt of the video to their supervisory officers. Similarly, civil officers are required to report to their supervisory officers through a text message.The police emphasize that forwarding or distributing the video is a serious offense under sections 13 and 18 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA). The J&K Police have reiterated the importance of cooperation from the public to prevent the spread of such propaganda material.
