Legal Awareness Programme on POCSO Act, 2012 Organized by District Legal Services Authority, Samba
As per the Action plan for the month of July, 2024 issued by Jammu & Kashmir Legal Services Authority and also under the radiant guidance of Sh. AdnanSayeed, Worthy Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, and Pr. District and Sessions Judge, Samba, District Legal Services Authority, Samba 25.07.2024 organized a legal awareness program on “POCSO Act, 2012” at Govt. Higher Secondary School Smailpur, Bari Brahmana Samba, wherein Ms. Neemesha Rajput, Chairman CWC, Samba and Ms. Priyanka Gupta, Legal cum probationer officer,JJB Samba were resource persons of the programme.The resource person throw light on the provisions of The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act,2012 along with its Amendents and also the concept of “GOOD TOUCH and BAD TOUCH” in a simple and dignified manner and child Helpline No : 1098 was also shared with the participants in the program. The main objective of organizing the program was to create awareness among the participants above the special provisions of legislation and helping them to stand up for their own safety.The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Ms. Nisha Rani, Deputy Legal Aid Defense Counsel Samba. The program was attended by students, faculty members of Govt. Higher Secondary School Smailpur, Bari Brahmana Samba, and Para Legal Volunteers of District Legal Services Authority Samba.
