SAMBA POLICE ORGANIZES ANTI-DRUG AWARENESS PROGRAMME AT GHSS VIJAYPUR

Samba: April 16, 2026: As part of ongoing Nasha Mukt Abhiyan, Samba Police today organized anti-drug awareness programme at Govt. Higher Secondary School Vijaypur. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from large numbers of students and staff members.

The programme aimed to sensitize students about the harmful effects of drug abuse, highlighting its serious social, psychological, and health consequences. During the session, police officers interacted with students, urging them to stay away from narcotic substances and actively contribute towards building a drug-free society. They emphasized the importance of collective responsibility in eradicating the menace of drug abuse.

On the occasion, participants were also educated about the three New Criminal Laws (NCL) implemented across the country since July 2024. Officers explained their significance and key provisions, enhancing students’ understanding about NCL.

Samba Police is committed to eradicate the drug menace from the district by taking strict legal action against drug smugglers and suppliers.

The initiative of J&K Police in raising awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse was widely appreciated by the school management and all the attendees.
