POLICE FOILED BOVINE SMUGGLING BID: 2 BOVINE SMUGGLERS ARRESTED, VEHICLE SEIZED

Samba, August 11: Continuing its drive against bovine smugglers and their propagators, Police has foiled bovine smuggling attempt in the jurisdiction of Police Station Vijaypur district Samba, arrested two bovine smugglers, rescued three bovines and seized vehicle.A Police team of Police Station Vijaypur headed by SHO PS Vijaypur while performing vehicle checking duty at special naka established at Tarapur Vijaypur, intercepted a Mahindra load carrier bearing registration No. JK21B/6947 for checking.During checking of the vehicle, three bovines were found laden inside which were tied in a cruel manner and were being transported illegally without any valid permission. All the rescued bovines have been shifted to a safer place.The arrested bovine smugglers have been identified as Ashwani Kumar S/o Mangal Dass and Pawan Kumar S/o Dev Raj both R/o Swankha tehsil Ramgarh district Samba. A case FIR No. 109/2024 U/S 223 BNS 11 PCA Act has been registered at PS Vijaypur and investigation started.
