Inter state Narco Smuggler Arrested by Udhampur Police; 36 kg Poppy straw Recovered
Udhampur Police team from Police Post Roundomail led by IC PP Roundomail while performing vehicle checking at naka point Roundomail, stopped one vehicle (mahindra xylo) bearing registration number PB08CK 8555 for checking purpose. During checking of said vehicle, 02 gunny bags having approx 36 kg of poppy straw like substance were recovered from the possession of the driver of the vehicle namely Ranjit Singh S/O Late Darshan Singh R/O Manahana Tehsil Garh Shanker District Hoshiarpur, Punjab who has been arrested on spot.
On this, a case vide FIR No. 370/2024 U/S 8/15 NDPS Act stands registered in P/S Udhampur and further investigation was set into probe.
