The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has issued a reminder for all drivers using toll roads across the country: vehicles entering toll lanes without a properly affixed FASTag will be subject to double toll charges. This penalty applies to vehicles that either have an unreadable or missing FASTag. To avoid delays and additional charges, motorists are advised to ensure their FASTag is securely attached to the windscreen of their vehicle, allowing for seamless and automated toll payments.
