Two terrorists killed and two soldiers martyred in encounters between security forces and terrorists at three different places in J&K

Two terrorists were killed and two soldiers were martyred in encounters between security forces and terrorists at three different places in Jammu and Kashmir between 13 and 14 September 2024. Security forces killed two terrorists during an encounter in Kathua district, from whom a large quantity of weapons and ammunition was recovered. These terrorists are believed to be associated with Jaish-e-Mohammed.At the same time, two Indian Army soldiers, Naib Subedar Vipin Kumar and Sepoy Arvind Singh, were martyred in another encounter in Chhatru area of Kishtwar district. Four soldiers were injured in this encounter, out of which two died.Apart from this, an encounter is also going on in Chak Tapar Kareeri area of Baramulla district, where security forces have surrounded 2-3 terrorists. These incidents are happening just a few days before the assembly elections, making the security situation in the area even more sensitive.
