42 BOTTLES OF ILLICIT LIQUOR SEIZED; TWO MORE HELD:- DISTRICT POLICE UDHAMPUR
In order to prevent the trade of consumption/production of illicit liquor in the district today on 16.09.2024, a Police team of PS Ramnagar led by its SHO while performing patrolling/naka checking duty in collaboration with SST team near SDPO Office Ramnagar apprehended one person namely Satpal Singh S/O Mulkh Raj R/O Kiya ,Tehsil Ramnagar who is moving towards Keya from Ramnagar town who was turning to be suspicious as he tried to flee from the spot on seeing police team.
During frisking/checking, 13 bottles of JK Special Whisky ( 750 ml) were recovered which he had kept in his possession. The said person has been arrested on spot.
In this regards, a case FIR under relevant sections of law stands registered in PS Ramnagar
Meanwhile in another instance, police team of PS Chenani apprehended one more suspect namely Makhan Gir S/O Krishan Gir R/O Basht, Chenani from Chenani-Domail road for checking purpose.
On checking, police team was able to recover 29 more bottles of JK Special Whisky (22 bottles of 250ml, 03 bottles of 180 ml and 04 bottles of 750 ml) were recovered from his illegal possession who has been arrested on spot
In his regard, one more case vide FIR No 149/2024 U/S 48(a) Excise Act stands registered at P/S Chenani and investigation taken up.
