Watch: Protest Held by Shia Community in Jammu Against Israeli Air Strike Killing Hezbollah Leader
Jammu, October 04, 2024: A protest demonstration was held today by members of the Shia community in Jammu, led by Sayed Zabi Hussain Jaffri, President of the Shia Federation. The protest followed Friday prayers and was held outside the Shia Masjid in Kargil Colony, Bathindi, in response to the killing of Hezbollah leader Hasan Nasrallah, Secretary General of Hezbollah, during an Israeli air strike.
Speaking at the protest, Jaffri strongly condemned the Israeli air strike, calling it a cowardly act. He further expressed concerns about Israel’s aggressive stance towards Iran, describing the situation as creating unnecessary panic and unrest in the region.Protesters, numbering around 70-80, gathered peacefully and raised slogans against Israel. The protest saw participation from prominent figures, including Fida Hussain, a member of the Shia Federation, and Aashiq Hussain, Imam of the Kargil Colony Shia Masjid.
The demonstration concluded without any incidents, with the community calling for justice and peace in the region.
