Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has inaugurated multiple critical infrastructure projects in Jammu and Kashmir as part of a broader initiative by the Border Roads Organisation (BRO). The projects include seven roads and twelve bridges, aimed at enhancing connectivity in remote and strategically important areas. These infrastructure upgrades, valued at over ₹2,236 crore, are part of a nationwide effort, with 75 projects being launched across 11 states and Union Territories.During the inauguration ceremony, which took place at Sukna in West Bengal, Singh emphasized the government’s commitment to developing border infrastructure under challenging conditions. He lauded BRO’s efforts, highlighting that they have completed 450 projects over the past five years, with a total expenditure exceeding ₹16,000 crore. These new developments aim to improve access to remote areas and boost operational readiness along the borders.
