POLICE ORGANIZES SYMPOSIUM ON DRUG ABUSE AT GHSS KHARA IN SUB-DIVISION BARI BRAHMANA

Samba, October 29: Police has organized a symposium on drug abuse at Govt. Higher Secondary School Khara in the jurisdiction of Police Station Purmandal which was attended by a large number of students, lecturers, teachers and other members of the school management.

The programme at GHSS Khara organized under Civic Action Programme (CAP) was presided over by ASP SDPO Bari Brahmana accompanied by SHO Police Station Purmandal in which sixteen students from Govt. Higher Secondary School had participated. The first, second and third best student speakers were presented cash rewards of rupees 6000, 4000 and 3000 respectively, whereas thirteen other participating students were also felicitated with consolation cash prizes.

ASP SDPO Bari Brahmana while speaking on the occasion urged upon the students to channelize their energy in the right direction and participate in recreational activities besides taking keen interest in their studies. He sensitized the students about women safety, role of youth in nation building, drug abuse and cybercrime. He also stressed the need for strict adherence to wearing helmet while driving 2 wheelers and follow traffic rules to prevent violations. 

The Principal of Govt. Higher Secondary School Khara expressed gratitude towards Police for organizing such programme to generate anti-drug awareness among students.
