Metador full of passengers falls into ditch: 15-20 injured
Udhampur, October 29: A tragic road accident took place in Ferna area of Magyot ahead of Supply Mor of the district. A Metador full of passengers went out of control and fell into the ditch, injuring 15 to 20 people.
According to the information received, the Metador was travelling on the regional road when suddenly the driver lost control of the vehicle. There was a lot of commotion at the spot as the vehicle fell into the ditch.
Local people immediately started rescue work and informed the police and emergency services. The injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital for first aid. The condition of some of the injured is said to be critical, who are being treated at Udhampur District Hospital.
The police reached the spot and took stock of the situation and started investigating the matter. According to preliminary information, brake failure or high speed may have caused the accident.
The local administration has expressed grief over the accident and assured all possible help to the victims.
