Vishwakarma Day Celebrated with Fervor and Enthusiasm in Katra

Katra, November 2: Vishwakarma Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and devotion in Katra as people gathered in large numbers at the Vishwakarma Temple to seek blessings from Lord Vishwakarma, the divine architect. The temple premises buzzed with activity as devotees, including artisans and craftsmen, performed rituals and offered prayers to honor the deity credited with engineering and creation.

Deputy Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Surinder Choudhary, attended the event and extended his greetings to the devotees. Addressing the gathering, he emphasized the contributions of artisans and workers in nation-building and highlighted the cultural importance of Lord Vishwakarma, symbolizing skill, creation, and craftsmanship.

During his speech, the Deputy CM acknowledged the essential role that craftsmanship and skilled labor play in economic development and reiterated the government’s commitment to uplifting these communities. The event concluded with prayers for prosperity, followed by a communal meal, as devotees left feeling blessed and optimistic for the future.
