Two Drug Peddlers Arrested in Baramulla, 25 Grams of Brown Sugar Seized
Baramulla, November 2: In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking, Baramulla Police apprehended two suspected drug peddlers in the Delina Ghat area on Thursday. The individuals, identified as Sajad Magray of Janbazpora and Imtiyaz Khandwah of Sopore, were taken into custody after a search operation led to the recovery of a contraband substance resembling brown sugar.
Acting on specific intelligence, a police team intercepted the two suspects, recovering approximately 25 grams of the illicit substance from their possession. Authorities have sent the seized material for forensic testing to confirm its exact composition. Both individuals have been booked under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, and further investigations are underway to identify any potential network connections.
