Jamui, Bihar – Prime Minister Narendra Modi was greeted with a grand traditional welcome by the local residents of Jamui, Bihar, today. In a display of cultural solidarity, PM Modi participated in the celebrations, trying his hands on a traditional dhol, much to the delight of the crowd.

The Prime Minister paid tribute to the revered tribal leader, Bhagwan Birsa Munda, by unveiling a commemorative coin and postal stamp in his honour. This gesture aims to recognize and celebrate the contributions of Birsa Munda to India’s history and the tribal community.

During his visit, PM Modi also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for multiple development projects in Bihar, totaling over Rs 6,640 crore. These projects span various sectors, including infrastructure, healthcare, and education, and aim to foster growth and connectivity in the region. The initiatives are expected to enhance the quality of life and open new opportunities for the people of Bihar, aligning with the government’s vision of inclusive development across the country.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from locals, with many expressing appreciation for the Prime Minister’s focus on Bihar’s progress and his tribute to tribal heritage.
