210 kg of Opium Seized in Udhampur: Truck Driver Arrested
Udhampur, Jammu & Kashmir – In a major anti-narcotics operation, the Udhampur police seized 210 kg of opium from a truck at the Jakhani check post on Monday evening. The truck, en route from Srinagar to Jammu, was intercepted by law enforcement during routine inspections.
Sandeep Bhatt, Additional Superintendent of Police, Udhampur, confirmed the seizure and the arrest of the truck driver. “Yesterday evening, we caught a truck going from Srinagar to Jammu at the Jakhani check post, from which 210 kg of opium was recovery.
Police are conducting further investigations to trace the supply chain and identify those involved in the operation.
