Shopian Police Attach Properties Worth ₹50 Lakh Belonging to Militant and Associate

Shopian, J&K – In a major crackdown on terror-related activities, the Shopian Police have attached two immovable properties worth ₹50 lakh under Section 25 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UA(P) Act). The properties belong to a militant and his associate and are located in the villages of Wandina and Melhura, respectively.

The action comes in connection with FIR No. 94/2024 registered at Police Station Zainapora. The attachment was carried out in the presence of the concerned Executive Magistrate, ensuring compliance with legal procedures.

According to official sources, the move aims to dismantle the financial and logistical support network of militants operating in the region. Authorities emphasized their commitment to enforcing stringent measures against individuals or groups aiding and abetting terror activities.

The police have urged citizens to cooperate in identifying elements involved in unlawful activities. Further investigations are underway to uncover additional links in this case.
