J&K Government Allocates Districts Among Ministers for Developmental Oversight
Jammu, December 9, 2024: In a move aimed at ensuring the effective implementation of developmental programs and improving the delivery of public services, the Omar Abdullah-led National Conference (NC) government in Jammu and Kashmir has allocated districts among its cabinet ministers.
This initiative seeks to enhance accountability and enable close monitoring of government schemes at the grassroots level. Each minister has been entrusted with the responsibility of overseeing developmental projects and addressing local grievances in their respective districts.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah emphasized the importance of this initiative in bridging the gap between governance and the people. He stated, “This step will strengthen our efforts to bring government closer to the people, ensuring their participation and satisfaction with public services.”
The allocation is expected to streamline administrative processes, promote equitable development across districts, and address regional concerns more effectively. This move has been welcomed by stakeholders who see it as a proactive approach toward responsive governance.
Further details about the district-wise allocations and specific responsibilities of the ministers are expected to be released soon.
