Army Busts Major Terrorist Hideout in J&K’s Reasi District, Huge Cache of Arms Seized
Reasi, Jammu and Kashmir – December 12, 2024:
In a significant achievement in the fight against terrorism, the Indian Army uncovered a major terrorist hideout in the Mahore forest area of Reasi district, Jammu and Kashmir, during a cordon and search operation on Wednesday.
The operation, led by Rashtriya Rifles troops, resulted in the recovery of a large cache of arms and ammunition. According to officials, the seized items included an AK-series assault rifle along with three magazines containing over 400 rounds, two pistols with two magazines and 14 rounds, and four hand grenades.
Security forces are continuing their search operation in the area to ensure no further threats remain.
“This recovery is a significant step in dismantling the logistical support of terrorist elements in the region,” an official said, emphasizing the commitment of the Army and security forces to maintaining peace and security in Jammu and Kashmir.
