Shaleen Kabra Assigns Additional Charges to Seven Executive Engineers in J&K Jal Shakti Department

Jammu, Jan 25: The Government of Jammu & Kashmir has issued an official order, assigning additional responsibilities to seven Executive Engineers in the Jal Shakti Department. The move, aimed at streamlining administrative efficiency, was made through Government Order No. 18-JK (JSD) of 2025, dated 24.01.2025.
The order, signed by Shaleen Kabra, Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary), Jal Shakti Department, includes the following assignments:
- Irrigation & Flood Control Division, Doda: Additional charge assigned to the Executive Engineer, Irrigation & Flood Control Division, Bhaderwah.
- S&D Division-Ist UEED Srinagar: Additional charge given to the Executive Engineer, City Drainage Circle, SMC, Srinagar.
- PHE Mech. Division, South Awantipora: Additional charge given to the Executive Engineer, PHE Mech. Rural Division, Srinagar.
- Mech. Irrigation Division, Srinagar: Additional charge assigned to the Executive Engineer, Mech. Irrigation Division, Baramulla.
- Flood Control Division, Kathua: To be managed by the Executive Engineer, Irrigation Division, Kathua, effective 01.02.2025, upon retirement of the current incumbent.
- Water Supply Master Plan Division, Srinagar: Additional charge assigned to the Executive Engineer, Water Works Division, Srinagar, effective 01.02.2025, after retirement of the current officer.
- Irrigation Division, Akhnoor: Additional charge to be taken by the Executive Engineer, Flood Control Division, Akhnoor, effective 01.02.2025, upon retirement of the present incumbent.
Additionally, the following transfers and postings of Executive Engineers were ordered:
Shri Mehraj-Ud-Din Rather: Transferred from Irrigation Division, Kulgam, to Irrigation Division, Ompora Budgam.
Shri Parvez Ahmad Naiko: Transferred from JKPDC to Irrigation Division, Kulgam.
The changes are effective immediately and are expected to enhance the operational management of the Jal Shakti Department across the region.
The order has also been communicated to the Financial Commissioner (ACS) to the Hon’ble Chief Minister, J&K, and the Principal Secretary to the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor, J&K.
