Omar Abdullah Inaugurates Newly Constructed Tawi State Guest House on Canal Road

Jammu, Jan 27: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today inaugurated the newly built Tawi State Guest House on Canal Road, marking a significant milestone in the hospitality infrastructure of the Union Territory.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary, Ministers Javed Ahmad Dar and Satish Sharma, Advisor to the Chief Minister Nasir Aslam Wani, Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo, Additional Chief Secretary Dheeraj Gupta, Principal Secretary Hospitality & Protocol Rashmi Singh, Director Hospitality & Protocol Ashwani Kumar, Joint Director Naresh Kumar, and other senior officials.

The Chief Minister conducted a thorough inspection of the state-of-the-art facility, which includes VVIP suites, mini suites, bedrooms, a conference hall, and other amenities. He lauded the Hospitality & Protocol Department for their efforts in creating a modern facility designed to host dignitaries and high-level delegations.

The ground floor of the guest house comprises five suites, three bedrooms, a conference hall with a seating capacity of 45, a kitchen, a pantry, and a waiting area. The first floor features one VVIP suite, two mini suites, two additional suites, two rooms, and a waiting area.

Equipped with cutting-edge amenities, the guest house boasts an advanced HVAC system, a fully furnished conference hall with audio-visual facilities, and an 8-passenger lift for added convenience.

Speaking at the event, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah emphasized the importance of such infrastructure in strengthening the UT’s capacity to host official events and facilitate hospitality for esteemed visitors.
