J&K Police Busts Drug Peddling Network in Kathua: Two Arrested with Heroin

Kathua, February 11, 2025 – In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, Jammu & Kashmir Police in Kathua recovered approximately 10.72 grams of heroin (chitta)-like narcotics near the Khanpur area of Police Station Rajbagh. The swift action led to the arrest of two drug peddlers, marking another success in the fight against the drug menace.
Acting on specific intelligence, a police team from PS Rajbagh conducted a search operation, leading to the seizure of the contraband. The accused have been taken into custody, and an instant case has been registered under FIR No. 25/2025 U/S 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Rajbagh.
Authorities have intensified their efforts to curb drug-related activities in the region, urging citizens to report any suspicious activities to law enforcement. Further investigation is underway to identify potential links in the drug network.
