SAMBA POLICE BOOKED NOTORIOUS DRUG PEDDLER UNDER PIT NDPS
Samba, March 01: Taking stringent action against notorious drug peddlers/smugglers involved in illicit narcotics trade, Samba Police has booked a notorious drug peddler under Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (PIT NDPS) Act for his continues involvement in spreading drug menace in the area and lodged him in district Jail Bhaderwah.
The notorious drug peddler namely Ashwani Kumar @ Rinku S/o Surinder Kumar R/o Vijaypur district Samba has been taken into custody under PITNDPS Act as per Order No. PITNDPS 07 of 2025 dated 27.02.2025.
The accused was involved in illegal drug activities, posing a significant threat to the peaceful environment of the region by attempting to lure local youth into drug addiction. Different cases have already been registered against the said drug peddler for his role in promoting the drug trade by suppyling narcotics to locals of Samba district.
The locals have highly appreciated the efforts of the Samba Police in curbing the criminal activities in the area.
