BOOTLEGGER NABBED WITH 32 BOTTLES OF ILLICIT LIQUOR BY SAMBA POLICE

Samba, March 9, 2025: Continuing its drive against the sale of illicit liquor in the district, Samba Police has arrested a bootlegger and recovered 32 bottles of illicit liquor of 180 ml each from his possession in the jurisdiction of Police Station Ramgarh.

Acting on reliable information regarding sale of illicit liquor near Dabuj Kaka area, a police party of Police Station Ramgarh headed by SHO PS Ramgarh raided the shop of the accused person and seized 32 bottles of JK Special Whisky of 180 ml each from his possession. The arrested shopkeeper has been identified as Swarn Singh S/o Suchate Singh R/o Dabuj Kaka tehsil Ramgarh district Samba who was indulged in selling of illicit liquor to general public from his shop.

In this connection, a case FIR No. 16/2025 under Section 48(f) of the Excise Act has been registered at PS Ramgarh and investigation started.
