Traffic Advisory: Road Closure from Satwari to Last Morh Gandhi Nagar in Jammu from March 11

JAMMU, March 11, 2025 – The Traffic Police Office of Jammu has issued an important advisory regarding the closure of a key road stretch from Satwari Chowk to Last Morh Gandhi Nagar, effective from March 11, 2025. The closure is due to the construction of a flyover in the area, as per the notification from the Project Director of NHAI, PIU-Jammu.

To ensure smooth vehicular movement and avoid congestion, traffic diversions have been planned as follows:

1. Vehicles traveling from Samba/Kathua via Kunjwani, Gangyal towards Jammu City will be rerouted through MH Hospital Road – Beli Charana – 4th Tawi Bridge – Asia Crossing/Canal Head and further to their destinations.
2. Vehicles from R.S. Pura, Miran Sahib, and nearby areas heading to Jammu City will follow the same diversion route via MH Hospital Road – Beli Charana – 4th Tawi Bridge – Asia Crossing/Canal Head.
3. Traffic from Bikram Chowk towards Satwari Chowk will continue in one direction, while vehicles from Last Morh Gandhi Nagar to Satwari Chowk will use the right tube.
4. Vehicles from 4th Tawi Bridge towards Satwari Chowk will be diverted via Ware House – Asia Crossing – Last Morh Gandhi Nagar and then to Satwari Chowk.
