SAMBA POLICE FOILED 03 BOVINE SMUGGLING ATTEMPTS: ARRESTED 02 BOVINE SMUGGLERS, RESCUED 22 BOVINES

Samba, April 08, 2025: Tightening noose against the bovine smugglers and their propagators, Samba Police has foiled three bovine smuggling attempts in the jurisdiction of Police Station Samba, arrested two bovine smugglers, rescued twenty two bovines and seized three vehicles. 1.An information was received at Police Station Samba from reliable sources regarding smuggling of bovines in a truck bearing registration No.JK03J-3738 via Samba-Mansar road. Acting on information, a Police team headed by SHO Police Station Samba successfully intercepted the said truck at naka Nud and during checking, eight bovines found inside the vehicle which were tied in a cruel manner and were being transported illegally without any valid permission. The bovine smugglers identified as Rafaqit Ahmed Khan S/o Nazeer Ahmed Khan R/o near road Bringan district Anantnag and Manzoor Ahmed S/o Mohd Maqbool Bakrwal R/o district Udhampur have been arrested. A case FIR No. 93/2025 u/s 223 BNS, 11 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Samba and investigation started. 2.Acting over information received at PP Goran of PS Samba from reliable sources regarding smuggling of bovines via Goran-Sumb road, a Police team headed by Incharge Police Post Goran intercepted a Mahindra Bolero bearing registration No. PB08BU-9168 near Dhuneyian. During checking of the vehicle, four bovines were found laden inside which were tied in a cruel manner and were being transported illegally without any valid permission. A case FIR No. 94/2025 u/s 223 BNS, 11 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Samba and investigation started. 3.A Police team headed by Incharge Police Post Supwal of PS Samba on reliable information intercepted a Dumper bearing registration No. JK19A-2570 near Basantar bed for its checking. During checking of the vehicle, ten bovines were found laden inside which were tied in a cruel manner and transported illegally without any valid permission. A case FIR No. 95/2025 u/s 223 BNS, 11 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Samba and investigation started. The whole operation was carried out under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Samba and under the overall supervision of SSP Samba.
