Operation Clean UP: Jammu Police in a Massive surprise Anti-Narcotics drive, detains 42 persons

Stolen Bike Recovered besides booking Traffic Violators

In a major action towards combating narcotic abuse and illegal trade, Jammu Police, South Zone, detained 42 drug peddlers in a single-day under coordinated operation CleanUp . The crackdown was conducted on the directions of SSP Jammu and executed under the supervision of SP City South, with close supervision of SDPO East and SDPO South, and on-ground execution by SHOs and ICPPs across South Zone.

The drive was aimed at deterring street-level drug trafficking and disrupting the demand supply chain/local network of peddlers. The action was carried out jurisdiction-wise as follows:
• PS Satwari – 03
• PS Gangyal – 04
• PS Gandhi Nagar – 06
• PS Bahu Fort – 02
• PP Narwal – 14
• PP Nehru Market – 02
• PP Gadigarh – 03
• PP Phallain Mandal – 05
• PP Digiana – 02
• PP Chatta – 01

All individuals were booked under preventive provisions and necessary legal proceedings have been initiated. The drive highlights the South Zone’s focused commitment to counter the growing threat of narcotics, especially among the youth.

In a separate development, a stolen motorcycle (Reg. No. JK08L-7453) linked to FIR No. 116/2025 u/s 303(2) BNS was recovered by PP Bhatindi. The two-wheeler, valued at ₹1,40,000, had been stolen and was successfully traced and seized, showcasing the effective coordination and responsiveness of the police in property recovery.

Additionally, Police Post Greater Kailash seized two motorcycles under Section 207 of the MV Act. One bike was found without a number plate, while the other had a modified silencer, both in violation of motor vehicle norms and public safety regulations.
