LG Manoj Sinha Inaugurates Superior Polymers India Pvt Ltd’s Manufacturing Unit in Kathua: Boosting Aatmanirbhar J&K

Kathua, April 14, 2025: In a significant step towards strengthening Jammu and Kashmir’s industrial landscape, Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha inaugurated the state-of-the-art manufacturing unit of Superior Polymers India Pvt Ltd in Kathua today. The event marks a milestone in the Union Territory’s journey towards self-reliance and economic growth under the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat.

Speaking at the inauguration, LG Sinha highlighted the growing manufacturing ecosystem in J&K, stating, “The UT’s manufacturing ecosystem is growing, and today’s project, dedicated to industrial development, will give momentum to the mission of Aatmanirbhar J&K.” He emphasized that the new facility is expected to generate employment opportunities and contribute to the local economy, aligning with the government’s commitment to fostering sustainable industrial progress.

The Superior Polymers India Pvt Ltd unit is set to produce high-quality polymer-based products, catering to both domestic and international markets. The greenfield project is anticipated to enhance Kathua’s reputation as an emerging industrial hub, attracting further investments to the region.

LG Sinha congratulated the company for its investment in J&K and reiterated the administration’s resolve to provide a conducive environment for businesses through progressive reforms, transparent policies, and robust infrastructure. “This is a proud moment for Kathua and J&K as we take another step towards economic empowerment and self-reliance,” he added.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by senior officials, industry leaders, and local representatives, who lauded the collaborative efforts of the UT administration and private sector in driving industrial growth. With this development, J&K continues to make strides in realizing its potential as a key player in India’s industrial ecosystem.
