In a sensational incident Mushtaq Ali, alias Bacchu Don, an infamous chitta (heroin) smuggler, was killed during a police operation in Jammu. According to posts on X, Ali was a wanted criminal and the main accused in an attack on a Station House Officer (SHO) in Bari Brahmana few days back. Jammu Police apprehended him in Amritsar, but during an escape attempt while being transported back to Jammu, he allegedly tried to snatch a weapon from the police, leading to a violent confrontation that resulted in his death. An FIR has been registered, and an inquiry is underway to investigate the incident. More details awaited
