Education Institutions to Reopen in Non-Border Districts: Closure Continues in Border Areas

In light of the prevailing situation, the Education Department has decided to reopen all educational institutions in non-border districts of Jammu province. However, institutions located in the border districts will remain closed until further notice.

According to a directive issued by the Divisional Commissioner of Jammu, all schools, colleges, and other educational institutions—both private and government-run—across Jammu province shall remain closed on 13th May, with the exception of medical colleges, which will continue to function as usual.

The decision aims to ensure the safety and well-being of students and staff while maintaining a cautious approach in sensitive areas.

Authorities have urged the public to stay updated through official channels for any further announcements or changes in the schedule.
