Srinagar, May 24: The ongoing spell of hot and dry weather across Jammu & Kashmir is set to ease as the region braces for a shift in weather patterns starting today.
Forecast Details:
May 24: Expect generally cloudy skies with intermittent rain or thundershowers across many parts of the Kashmir Division and scattered locations in Jammu. Isolated areas may experience gusty winds and intense showers.
May 25–26: The weather will turn largely hot and dry again, with only brief and isolated light rain spells, mainly in the late afternoons.
May 27–31: Another wet spell is expected, bringing rain/thundershowers to scattered to many places. Some areas may also witness intense showers and gusty winds.

A welcome dip in maximum temperatures by 2–3°C is likely at many places starting today, bringing much-needed respite from the heatwave. Residents are advised to stay alert for sudden gusty winds and localized thunderstorms.
