Tragic Road Accident Claims Lives of Two Wrestlers in Samba’s Sumb Area

Samba, June 19 — A pall of gloom descended over the Sumb area of Samba district after a tragic road accident claimed the lives of two promising young wrestlers, Gharu Singh and Rahmat Ali, early Thursday evening.
The duo had traveled to Chani Mansar to participate in a local Dangal (wrestling tournament), showcasing their skills and passion for the traditional sport. After the event, they were returning home on a motorcycle when tragedy struck. Around 8:00 PM, near Bindu Paida—approximately one kilometer from Mansar—their bike was hit by a truck. Both wrestlers died on the spot.
The sudden demise of the young athletes has sent shockwaves through the local community, especially in the wrestling circles of Samba. Gharu Singh, in particular, was well-known in the region for his exceptional wrestling talent and had earned widespread admiration for his achievements in the sport.
