LG Manoj Sinha reviewed the arrangements for Amarnath Yatra, meeting with officials

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday reviewed the activities of control established for Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra. He also congratulated the officials concerned for improving the yatra management and taking all appropriate measures for the convenience and safety of the devotees. The first batch of pilgrims has left this morning via Baltal and Nunwan for the annual pilgrimage to Shri Amreshwar Dham. The Shri Amarnath Shrine Board itself manages the Yatra to Shri Amareshwar Dham. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha is the chairman of this board.
During the meeting in the control room set up at the Raj Bhavan, the Lt Governor reviewed arrangements for crowd control on the Yatra route and the Holy Cave, facility for movement of devotees on the Yatra route, deployment of women police personnel, functioning of langar committees and guardrails at risky places on the Yatra route. Took stock of the heli facility.
Instructing the concerned officers, he said that by keeping the control room of the board functional 24×7, full coordination should be maintained with all concerned officers and organizations so that there is no hindrance in the journey.
The Lt Governor said that this year, the facilities for the pilgrims have been improved as well as enhanced so that the pilgrims return with the experience of a blissful spiritual journey as compared to the previous year.
