Exam Pattern Syllabus Eligibility and Salary of Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) Constable Exam

The Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) Constable Exam is conducted by the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on behalf of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. The CAPF Constable Exam is conducted for the recruitment of candidates in various central armed police forces like the CRPF, BSF, ITBP, CISF, and SSB.

Exam Pattern:
The CAPF Constable Exam consists of two stages: written test and physical efficiency test (PET). The written test is an objective type test consisting of 100 questions carrying one mark each. The total duration of the exam is 2 hours. The question paper is divided into four sections – General Awareness, General Knowledge, Elementary Mathematics, and Analytical Aptitude.   • Elementary Mathematics: Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals and Fractions, Relationship between Numbers, Fundamental Arithmetical Operations, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Mensuration, Time and Distance, Ratio and Time, Time and Work, etc.
  • Analytical Aptitude: Analytical reasoning, Verbal and figure classification, Arithmetical number series, Non-verbal series, Coding and decoding, Statement conclusion, Syllogistic reasoning, Similarities and differences, Problem-solving, etc.

Eligibility:
The eligibility criteria for the CAPF Constable Exam are as follows:

  • Age: The minimum age limit is 18 years and the maximum age limit is 23 years.
  • Educational Qualification: The candidate should have passed 10th or equivalent from a recognized board.

Salary:
The starting salary of a CAPF Constable is around Rs. 21,700 – Rs. 69,100 per month, depending on the posting location and other factors. Additionally, they are also eligible for various allowances and benefits provided by the government.
