SAMBA POLICE PRESENTS CHALLAN AGAINST FATHER WHO MURDERED HIS SON & ATTEMPTED TO MURDER HIS WIFE, DAUGHTER
Police Exhibiting High Degree Of Professionalism While Conducting Investigations In Murder Cases : SSP Samba Benam Tosh
Samba, Aug 4: Under the overall supervision of Senior Superintendent of Police Samba, Police has filed challan in the court of law for judicial determination against father who murdered his 20-year-old unmarried son, attempted to murder his wife & daughter at Dhaki, Sumb in the jurisdiction of Police Post Goran, Police Station Samba on 12th April this year.
On 12.04.2023, Samba police registered a murder & attempt to murder case FIR No. 78/2023 u/s 302/307 IPC at Police Station Samba through Police Post Goran and arrested the accused identified as Kulbir Singh s/o Jaswant Singh r/o Dhaki Sumb Samba and started investigation. Scene of Crime (SOC) was visited by a police team comprising of DySP Garu Ram, SHO Police Station Samba Rajeshwar Singh and I/C PP Goran PSI Sajid Jaral. The investigation of the case was monitored by Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary.
During the investigation police proved that early in the morning of 12th April 2023 accused Kulbir Singh attacked his 20-year-old son Jeetan Singh while he was sleeping with his siblings, his wife Poonam and his 16-year-old daughter with a sharp-edged weapon of offence ('darat'), thereby killing his son and grievously injuring his wife, daughter. Police has also added section 226 in the case and thus concluded the case as challan u/s 302/307/326 IPC and presented the same in the court of law for judicial determination.
Senior Superintendent of Police Samba, Benam Tosh said that Samba Police is exhibiting high degree of professionalism while conducting investigations in murder cases in Samba District and police is leaving no lacunae in the investigations which are being concluded in time-bound manner without inordinate delays.
