Illegally mined minerals seized in Doda District
DODA, AUGUST 16: To curb illegal mining activities, a strategic operation was carried out under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Doda, Vishesh Mahajan.
District Mineral Officer Doda, Sunil Kumar Manhas spearheaded the operation, to clamp down on the unlawful practices. Collaborating seamlessly with the revenue department , local police and the Geology & Mining department, the operation yielded substantial results as a JCB & a DUMPER were seized in the Bhalla area of District Doda on August 14.
In another operation, the Mining Department with cooperation of the Police Department seized two trolleys involved in illegal mining in Gandoh Sub-Division of district on August 15. The operation against illegal Mining in the Gandoh area was conducted in collaboration with a team of the Police Department led by ASI Abdul Shakoor, I/C Police Post Changa.
