SAMBA POLICE ARRESTS NOTORIOUS BOVINE SMUGGLER, RESCUES BOVINE ANIMALS
85 Bovine Smugglers Arrested, 67 FIRs Registered In Eight Months : SSP Samba Benam Tosh
Samba, Sept 27 : Under the overall supervision of SSP Samba Benam Tosh, Police has arrested notorious bovine smuggler, rescued bovine animals and seized vehicle used for transportation of bovines in the jurisdiction of Police Post Mansar falling under Police Station Samba. The arrested notorious bovine smuggler has been identified as Sajad Ahmed s/o Shabir Ahmed r/o Rakh Jargoh tehsil and district Ramban. A case FIR No.229/2023 u/s 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Samba through Police Post Mansar. The bovine smuggler has been arrested by a police team comprising of Incharge Police Post Mansar PSI Rajat Sharma under the supervision of SHO Police Station Samba Daljit Singh, DySP Garu Ram and Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary. Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh said that total eighty five (85) bovine smugglers have been arrested by Samba Police in past eight months after the launch of special drive, sixty seven (67) FIRs have been registered against bovine smugglers, fifty seven (57) vehicles used for bovine smuggling have been seized and six hundred sixty three (663) bovine animals have been rescued in Samba district.
