Football Tournament In Biscoe’s Memory

SRINAGAR: As many as 14 teams are participating in the Canon CE Football Tournament, a game made popular by Kashmir’s pioneer educationist and Biscoe School founder, Tyndale Bisco.

The final of the tournament is being played today between Burnhall School and Tyndale Biscoe School, the two leading Christian Missionary schools run by Catholics and Protestants in Srinagar for a long time.

Red FM has collaborated with the Tournament.

“These types of tournaments help to encourage a sporting culture in schools, and we are super excited to be a part of this,” Abrar Zargar, Cluster Programming Head and Station Head Srinagar of Red FM said. “Jammu and Kashmir is one of the only states where football is a more popular sport than cricket, so football has immediate growth potential.”
