Absconder nabbed by Poonch police after 32 years

Keeping it’s commitment to keep society crime – free, Poonch police today achieved a major success when it apprehended an absconder who was evading his arrest since last 32 years.On 26/02/1991, Case FIR no. 38/1991 U/S 406/RPC was registered against Parvez Ahmed S/O Nazir Ahmed R/O W.No. 7, Poonch and since after registration of FIR, he went underground.Today, police party of Police Station Poonch led by SHO PS Poonch Insp. Deepak Pathania and assisted by ASI Mohd. Tariq and HC Muzzafar Shah under the supervision of Sh. Afrat Hussain Dysp Hqrs. Poonch and Sh. Vinay Sharma SSP Poonch raided a suspected hideout and arrested the absconding accused.General warrant of arrest U/S 512 Cr.p.c. (Now 299 Cr.p.c.) was issued against the accused by Hon’ble CJM Poonch on 04/07/1991.Public has hailed the action of Poonch Police in apprehending accused after a long time !!!
